New Business Account Executive - New Orleans Pelicans/Saints (Metairie, LA)


Are you a sales professional with a track record of success?  Do you have an interest in being part of a sales team with two of the most exciting teams in the NBA and NFL?  We are looking for people with great sales talent to join our New Business Development team at the New Orleans Pelicans and Saints.

Top Sales Performance will lead to great growth opportunities both in income and responsibilities.  

Some Key Sales Success Factors are:

  • High Contact Volume (Phone, Email & Social Media)
  • Short Sales Cycle (Close Sales within 3 weeks majority of time)
  • Mix of Personal & Business Buyers
  • Face to Face Appointments
  • Ability to navigate through the sales process on a cold call
  • Ability and Eagerness to work 50+ Game Nights/Year

This is a fulltime, benefited position with a starting base salary of $27,500 per year plus commission.  Our first year sales reps typically make $40k+ in year 1 and $60k+ in year 2. Our top Premium Sellers can find themselves making six figures in year 3 and beyond.

Inside Sales Consultant - New Orleans Saints & Pelicans (New Orleans, LA)

The New Orleans Pelicans & Saints are seeking a talented and passionate individual who is committed to becoming a sales leader in the sport industry. This individual will experience a 10 month sales development program which focuses on career growth, continual sales training, and overall betterment as a professional. The sales consultant will be provided a full menu of products to sell including Saints Suites and the following Pelicans products: Annual Suites, Single Game Suites, Season Tickets, Partial Season Tickets, Group Tickets, and Mini Packages. These products will be sold primarily via cold calls, preset face-to-face appointments, in-game and out-of-game sales table opportunities, networking events, and self-prospecting. Training and support will be provided by the leadership team, namely from the Inside Sales Manager and the Director of New Business Development. The Pelicans & Saints’ primary goal is to develop future sales leaders within the organization. Top sales leaders on the Inside Sales team will be considered for promotion to the New Business Account Executive role towards the end of the program’s course.


  • Sell full menu of products: Saints Suites, Pelicans Annual Suites, Single Game Suites, Season Tickets, Partial Season Tickets, Group Tickets, and Mini Packages
  • Meet and/or exceed monthly and yearly sales goal
  • Make 100 outbound phone calls per day, majority being cold calls
  • Complete 3-5 face-to-face appointments per week (in-game, at customer’s office, Saints/Pelicans facility, Smoothie King Center, Mercedes-Benz Superdome)
  • Provide excellent customer service at events and over the phone
  • Service and renew Half Season and 12 Game Plan accounts
  • Attend weekly training and role play sessions conducted by Inside Sales Manager
  • Work some Saints home games and 50% of Pelicans home games
  • Manage customer interaction using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016
  • Manage available ticket inventory using Archtics Ticketing System
  • Contribute positively to the organizational culture in working together with peers and leadership team
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager


  • Completed bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Ability to provide thorough and exceptional customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to present sales material to prospects on an appointment
  • Adaptability and time management skills – ability to manage time properly, based on time of the year and given tasks
  • Dependability, consistently at work on time, follows instructions, responds to manager’s instructions, completes tasks on time
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong computer skills including all Microsoft Office software programs
  • Desire to be a sales leader and to be committed to continual learning and growth
