Corporate Partnerships Office Coordinator - New Orleans Pelicans/Saints (Metairie, LA)

Overall Purpose:

This position is responsible for supporting the overall function of the corporate partnerships department, which includes, but is not limited to the scheduling/tracking responsibilities tied to the corporate partnership processes (contracts, expenses, inventory, etc.), event planning and other duties as assigned. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Corporate Partnerships Office Coordinator will have the following duties:

  • Contract management: Prepare initial drafts of all new & renewal contracts for review and approval by the legal team.  Organize and coordinate all partner contracts and disseminate copies of the contracts to all pertinent parties (i.e. sponsors, accounting, Legal, VP & Senior Director of Corporate Partnership, etc.).  In addition, prepare a (one sheet) contract summary for each sponsor agreement as well as forecast multiyear sponsor revenue,
  • Invoice Management: Work with accounting on an annual billing schedule, track outstanding invoices and communicate with the account representative and accounting on the status of the invoice schedule and any overdue/outstanding invoices,
  • Partnership Activation Expense Tracking: Work with accounting and the partnership marketing team to monitor and track expenses/budgets associated with the activation of accounts to develop efficiencies in the execution of team partnerships
  • Event Planning: Manage the execution of corporate partnership events and outings to include holiday parties, partner summits, team away travel, game day hospitality and entertainment and other special events that are developed to recognize and support the corporate partners of both teams
  • Inventory Tracking and Scheduling: Working with Corporate Partnership team, and the Analytics department to monitor and manage team sponsorship inventory to ensure that the teams are maximizing revenue opportunities. 
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM and StoneTimberRiver Software: Updating and tracking assets within the software. Working with the Analytics team directly to update and manage new inventory.
  • Media Sales Partnership order processing: Managing the order input into CRM for the Pelicans 3rd party sales agency relationships with HTS and Skyview.
  • Assist and support the cross organizational  goals of the other departments – season ticket sales, marketing, community investment, etc. to ensure that their programs and strategic plans are being incorporated into the proposals of our corporate partners and prospects,
  • Strive to ensure that all elements of our agreements are delivered in a first class manner in accordance with the philosophy of the franchise and within the provisions of the contractual obligations of the organization.
  • Work closely with the other members of the corporate partnership team to achieve department goals and objectives
  • Support the franchise mission statement, vision and values by exhibiting excellence, competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, empowerment of others, commitment to our community outreach programs, accountability and ownership of work


  • Bachelor’s degree in sport management, business, communications, marketing or related field preferred
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a related Marketing position.
  • Proven experience within Corporate Partnerships
  • Strong leadership skills required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical skills required.
  • Strong creativity skills required.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, tasks and priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
  • Exceptional knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments/organizations
  • Ability to work irregular hours.

 Working Conditions:

  • Typical office environment
  • Some weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Must be able to sit and work at a computer 80% of the day
  • Occasionally move general office equipment or supplies up to 15 pounds
